What a terrific idea, combining the funky and perpetually hip MAC withDisney’s greatest villains. The vampy divas most well known prove to be inspiration for MAC’s biggest fall collection. There’s Cruella  De Vil, Snow White’s Evil Queen, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and Dr. Facilier the voodoo king from The Princess and the Frog.

The palette for this collection features blacks, plums and reds- both stylish for the cold months and dramatic for nights. Can you think of a better collaboration than Disney and MAC? You will love the packaging of this collection with the evil characters embossed on the compacts, tubes and bottles. What inspiration!

Vibrant reds for Cruella, the Evil Queen, and Maleficent features dark purples, blacks and pearly nails. MAC worked with the actual Pantone colors used when drawing the original characters so the colors herald back to the Disney drawings. Intense and powerful shades make up this collection.

The look is all about strong brows, red lips and bold cheeks. Even nice girls can be a little naughty- at least with this collection- when applying Venomous Villains.

Dr. Facilier’s collection

I got a chance to sample products from the collections and I am loving Maleficent’s She Who Dares blue with silver Mineralize Eye Shadow, the deep sparkling green nail polish called Formidable and the stand-out lipglass shade of Wrong Spell, a purple-plum hybrid that is smooth and shiny.

The Greasepaint sticks have been a favorite of mine since MAC introduced them. Dr. Facilier’s collection includes Slick Black, the darkest, smoothest black you will ever find, and French Quarter which is a black with a bit of deep green- how I love this with a pale gold-peach pigment like Melon.  The Lip Gelee from this collection is incredibly neutral and wearable for everyday- Resort Life, a pinky nude with a hint of shimmer. Fans of MAC’s amazing pigments will fall in love with Brash & Bold, a bright frosty magenta- it takes a daring soul to pull off this vivid shade.

Evil Queen

Beautiful and rather shy is the color Devilishly Stylish lipglass from Cruella De Vil’s line, this is a peachy nude that I am loving! If you are one of the lucky people that can pull off a pure dramatic red then Heartless lipstick is for you! I often get emails asking for a great red- here it is and boy is it bold! Pair it with the equally devilish Wicked Ways gloss for a real punch of crimson! I use Carbon eye shadow, a strong black, as an eyeliner applying with an angled brush along the lash line for a long wearing liner. De Vil is a pure copper while Sweet Joy is my fave- a great cream base color.

I love the Evil Queen with her bright coral lips courtesy of Toxic Tale lipstick. Strange Potionis a lovely soft coral-pink shade of lipglass while Hot House has been my go-to shade for evening, a raspberry hue balanced by a pearly shimmer.  Oh So Fair is the perfect shade – pink with coral undertones which warms my skin. Naturally there has to be a dark shade for the lips in the Evil Queen’s arsenal and we have Sinister, a brown-purple color. Vile Violet, dark purple and Her Alter Image, a pale purple plus Vainglorious (love that name) is a bronzed burgandy shade- these make up the Eye Shadows for the Evil Queen.

There is much more to this enormous collection and for the whole thing, you will have to go over to MAC. Keep in mind Venomous Villains will only run until the end of the month!
