Best Chemical Free Nail Polish Brands

You are going to absolutely love these nail products by Dr. Dana! I am so excited to share these with you.

But first, let’s meet Dr. Dana, a nail care specialist who works exclusively with the care and treatment of nails.

Here’s what you need to know:
From celebrities to luminaries, patients from all over the world come to see Dr. Dana at her bustling Fifth Avenue New York City and Hamptons practices.

She is the nail expert of choice for the media and has been featured in Allure, InStyle and Dr. Oz, among many others. Vogue magazine called her “the go-to dermatologist for nail disorders and cosmetic conditions relating to nail disease.”

Dr. Dana has over a decade of nail expertise in both practice and research, and was chief resident in Dermatology at Mount Sinai in New York City.

Her commitment and passion for treating nails led her to develop her eponymous nail care line.

Dr. Dana offers a great little kit called the Nail Renewal System (you can purchase each item by itself too) which features what you need to keep nails looking healthy and well hydrated.

First, you use the Glycolic Prep for Nails, which helps exfoliate nails and the surface of the nails. Then you use the Perfect Grit Priming Wand which buffs and primes nails.

Last, the Deep Hydrating Formula is a gel textured oil which contains the Phyto Crystal Complex, a clinically proven ingredient derived from the sap of a French evergreen tree that not only hydrates but strengthens the nails.

After you use these products, you will look at your nails and love how healthy and strong they appear!

Skin around the nails looks smooth and plump.

Now onto the color!

These nail polishes are 9-Free! That means there is no formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, parabens, and triphenyl phosphate!

The Top and Base are also 9-Free, they apply easily and dry quickly. The color is the ideal consistency, being neither too thick or thin and the color is pigmented and bright.

After I painted my nails, I couldn’t stop staring at them because it truly looked like I had gotten a professional pedicure.

On my fingernails, I was surprised how long the color lasted- nearly a full week with no chipping.

On toenails, its two weeks going strong!

Each color is named after a well-known person and a portion of proceeds from the sales will go towards that person’s favorite charity. For example, I’m currently wearing Gayle on my nails, and “Gayle” was created with, and named for, CBS This Morning co-host and The Oprah Magazine editor-at-large Gayle King. A portion from the sale of this nail color will be donated to Gayle’s charity of choice.

On my toenails, I am wearing Kelly, which was created with, and named for, award-winning television personality Kelly Ripa.

There are other colors including a gorgeous blue/green called TheSkimm, red named after chef and restaurateur Judy Joo, a bright tangerine named Hannah Storm, a sheer pink named Quincy after professional surfer and influencer Quincy Davis.

I love the shape and clean, modern design of the bottles.

The products are Leaping Bunny certified and cruelty-free which makes me happy.

I’m so excited for you to try Dr. Dana’s products.

These are exactly what you need for a professional looking mani-pedi at home and did I mention they are 9-free!?

I love a short, clean, painted nail with a very shiny color, and SpaRitual nail polishes are among my very favorite.

From the cool rubbery top with an anti-slip grip to the colors and the top coat for high gloss, these are fantastic.

I also like the brush which is short and dense for excellent application of color.

Toxins can easily lurk in nail polishes but SpaRitual’s products are free from DBP, toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, and formaldehyde resin… and they’re vegan.

Apply two coats of color then apply the smudge resistant clear top coat and allow to dry.

Your nails will look as though you just had a professional manicure.

Color lasts for days! You can apply the top coat to keep nail color looking fresh.

I don’t paint my fingernails as often as I’d like because they quickly chip and flake from all the hard manual labor I do.

No, not really… it’s because I’m typing, sticking my hands in water and opening things with my nails!

I love beautifully painted fingernails though and sometimes I use a nice scrub like Barielle’s 60 Second Mani Pedi which feels amazing and leaves hands and nails looking like a professional hand model.

I was super excited to try out a few of Barielle’s new metallic nail polish shades.

As you know, metallics are BIG this season and I don’t expect these shades to go away any time soon.

When was silver NOT  ”in”?

Silver Metallic is a favorite of mine. I tried Slow Motion, a silvery lilac, Night Moves which is pure silver and Freestyle which is silvery green.

Happily, these lasted a long time on my nails and Night Moves lasted over a week, looking pretty and freshly painted on my toe nails.
