Similar to Gua Sha, a Jade (or Rose Quartz) Roller is an excellent tool for the skin. It helps drain lymph nodes, releases tension, aids in decreasing dark circles, boosts collagen production, reduces puffiness, and helps tone skin. I first read about the Jade rollers about a year ago and since I will do almost anything for better skin, so I bought one.
Jade Rollers have been used in Chinese Herbal Medicine for many years. Stimulating circulation, you will have a nice glow after you use a roller on your face. It reminds me of a (gentle) massage.
According to jaderollerbeauty.com: “Jade is believed to heal stressed organs and discharge toxins. It slows the process of cell aging by promoting turnover, and strengthens the body’s natural defenses and healing power by increasing chi, a revitalizing energy in the body.”
Ideally, place the roller in the fridge so its nice and cool, this helps decrease eye puffiness.
If there is one area I have a problem with, it’s the eyes. I have super dark circles, puffiness, and the whole area just looks OLD. I like to use the smaller end of the roller to go over the eye socket, hoping it will magically reduce my old lady eye bags.
I haven’t used it as consistently as I should, preferring the Gua Sha tool, but I plan on focusing on the eyes and really giving it my all to erase the circles and bags. You can find Jade Rollers almost anywhere, I have seen them at T.J. Maxx in the beauty section, along with on Amazon where I bought my Rose Quartz Gua Sha and Roller.
I found these illustrations helpful!
On a clean face, apply a small amount of oil. Using an upward motion, roll to the outside of the face as instructed below:

These two illustrations show exactly how to use the roller. Resist the urge to go back and forth, its just one direction and that is outward. Its only supposed to take a few minutes to do this, let me know if you have had success using a roller on your skin.
I like using a good oil like this Vitamin C one when I do any jade rolling or gua sha.
