There are so many good podcasts to listen to depending on what you like. Learn something or be entertained.

Sit Outside

Everyday when it’s not too hot outside, I like to sit on my porch for a few minutes and just be quiet. I listen to the birds chirp, the wind through the trees, noises from the neighborhood.

Go For a Walk

Even a short walk can boost your mood. Getting exercise is always a good idea and helps decrease stress.

Do a Yoga Workout

There are so many fantastic yoga workouts on YouTube! From beginner to expert, there is something for everyone. And bending, stretching and breathing is a positive way to de-escalate stress.

Listen to Soothing Nature Sounds

If you have a smartphone you can find apps that feature nature sounds like rain on a roof, wind, waves.  There are also lots of sounds and soothing music on YouTube.

Take a Nap

Sometimes you just need to grab a blanket and cuddle up with some pillows.


I find baking and being in the kitchen soothing. I love to bake, it takes my mind off whatever is bothering me for a while.

Read a Book

This goes without saying! I’m a HUGE fan of reading and a good book will bring you into another time and place. I love losing myself in a good story.
